In front of the accommodation, there is a small rocky inlet with a shallow part and sandy sea bottom, which is suitable for daily use; for snorkeling, diving, fishing, or for refreshment. A 20 minute walk along the rocky shore leads to the beautiful beach of Lagouvardos (2 km) or to the fisherman’s village of Marathopolis (1 km), with shops and restaurants at the pedestrian street, its little port and public transport to Gargaliani.

Uphill, at a distance of 6 km there is Gargaliani with neoclassical neighborhoods and magnificent views over the olive valley and islet Proti, shops and an open market with fresh local goods on Saturdays.

Many hikes are possible towards the north and east mountainous villages. In the north there are more sandy beaches to visit. Prefer to explore the area from the archaeological site of Olympia to Ancient Messene by car.
